What is a space?
This is a virtual environment that is mandatory to add and manage all devices with internet access (standalone) within an establishment .
You can add a control panel with detectors, an NVR with cameras, Ajax video cameras, smart locks or combine all these elements into a single system. The space concept provides flexibility to customize the system to the specific needs of the facility.
What are the parameters of a space?
Space settings include the following categories:
- Image and Name.
- Users (including privacy settings).
- Geofencing.
- Groups.
- Pieces.
- Time zone.
- Security and installation companies.
The plant-specific parameters remain separate. Scenarios will be moved to space in the future.
No, you just need to update the version of your application:
All familiar controls and features designed for an optimal experience will remain unchanged, including the control tab, parts and quick access to automation devices.
How to create a space?
How do I add devices to a space?
Adding devices to the space follows the same principle as adding the space itself. Just use the “ Add a device ".
The user or company with system configuration rights has full access to all devices in the space, including existing and newly added devices, as well as all settings. . Users who do not have system configuration rights can access all devices in the space, but cannot change settings.
How many devices can be added to a space?
You can add to a space:
- No more than one power plant.
- Up to 200 devices that require the control panel*.
- Up to 200 cameras, including Ajax and third-party cameras**.
- Up to 14 NVRs, with a total of 224 channels. Both 8 and 16 channel NVR versions can be used.
* You can add devices to the control panel according to its model specifications. For example, Hybrid Hub supports up to 100 connected Ajax devices, which protect against intrusions, fire or flood and control electrical devices, while Hub 2 Plus Jeweler supports up to 200 connected devices.
**You can connect up to 10 third-party cameras and video recorders to Ajax with Hub Jeweler , up to 25 with Hub 2 Jeweler , up to 50 with Hub Plus Jeweler and up to 100 with Hub 2 Plus Jeweler .
Which devices still need a central unit?
Intrusion protection, fire detection, water leak prevention and automation devices that use the proprietary Jeweler, Fibra or Wings communications protocol always need a central unit. You can check if the device requires a control panel in its manual and technical specifications.
Can the space be connected to the monitoring center?
You can only connect to the monitoring center if a central unit has been added. The control panel transmits events as usual, including photos taken by movement or by scenario.
How can I give up space?
For users:
Click on the button " Leave space » at the bottom of the space settings.
For installation companies:
Go to the list of installation companies, choose the required company and click the “ Delete company ".
Can I remove a plant from space?
Yes it's possible. All space settings and video devices remain backed up. However, all devices linked to the control panel will also be deleted. If you later add this same control panel to this space or another space, all devices connected to this control panel and their settings will also be added.
