What can I do with my Ajax system?

Ajax can be easily extended with intrusion, fire and flood detectors, as well as relays for remote management of electrical devices. You can purchase and add additional devices to the system individually. The detectors can be connected to the mobile app with just a few keys.

Ajax devices really work so far from the hub?

We tested the maximum distance between the hub and the opening detectors, and it really reaches 2000 meters. Your experience may vary, as walls, ceilings, and other barriers will reduce this distance. If you are unsure, you can do a radio test using the Ajax Security System App to determine the signal strength before installing the detectors.

How often should the batteries of the devices be changed?

Ajax devices are powered by batteries, not the network, which explains how wired systems work. With this in mind, we have developed a special energy-efficient radio protocol that allows them to protect your home or office for as long as possible - up to 7 years.

How long do Ajax devices operate from batteries, and what influences this duration

How will I know if the device battery is drained?

Once the battery reaches a critical level, Ajax will send you a notification. If you're curious, you can always check the battery level at any time in the device settings.

How can I monitor the Ajax security system?

The easiest way to monitor is to use the Ajax Security System app for iOS and Android . The App will allow you to arm/disarm the system and monitor your devices (including signal status, battery level and temperature). The system can also be controlled with Ajax SpaceControl and KeyPad or KeyPad Plus .

Can a scenario be created in the Ajax security system?

Ajax security system provides functionality to configure the reaction of Relay, WallSwitch and Socket in response to an alarm, change the security mode or activate programmatically. The security system can be programmed to change the security mode according to a schedule, and the automated device can react to a button press in control mode.

Will the robot vacuum or my cat sound the alarm?

The devices use a digital algorithm to detect human movements. As long as your pets are under 50 centimeters (19.5 inches) tall and weigh less than 20 kilograms (44 lbs), they should not trigger your Ajax detectors.

Can I add and remove users?

Yes, if you are an administrator with full access to system settings. You can add up to 99 users to hub. It could be family members, friends, neighbors, colleagues or even a security company.

Does Ajax support CCTV?

Third-party cameras can be connected to the security system using Ajax applications. You can choose almost any RTSP compatible camera or seamlessly integrate Uniview, Dahua, Hikvision, Safire IP cameras and DVRs.

How does Ajax notify me of an emergency?

Ajax sends alerts using push notifications, SMS or calls to the system owner. You can choose your notification preferences in the Mobile App.

How does Ajax send alerts so quickly?

The hub constantly monitors the detectors, and they regularly report to the hub. If a detector is triggered, it immediately transmits this information. The hub then sends an alert to the system owner's smartphone and/or Central Monitoring Station. All of this happens in just a few milliseconds.

What happens if there is an internet outage?

In offline mode, Ajax works in the same way as other professional security systems: detectors monitor the situation and send the information to the hub. In case of danger, the sirens of the system will warn you.

If there is a power outage, will I be left unprotected?

No. Ajax will continue to monitor your home, even during power outages. All detectors are battery operated and a backup battery is installed in the hub. It provides up to 16 hours of reliable operation. Once power is restored, the hub automatically recharges the backup battery.

Can Ajax be hacked?

Ajax is a closed ecosystem. We don't play games when it comes to security, so we don't use open source code or known encryption algorithms. This prevents manipulation using acquisition code. We develop our own software and build our radio technology from the ground up with multi-level protection. OS Malevich is protected against software viruses. Our proprietary IoT protocol eliminates the possibility of our equipment being used in botnets (networks of computer bots). If anyone wanted to hack Ajax, they would need unlimited financial resources and computer superpowers. And even then, they would need decades of trying every day.

Can the radio signal between the hub and the devices be jammed?

There are many things that negatively affect a person's health. Among these, there is a sedentary lifestyle, the abuse of alcohol and other drugs or a poor diet. Our equipment is none of that. And, in addition to being human-friendly, our devices are environmentally friendly. We even have the EU certificates to prove it.

Who responds to an alarm if I'm not home?

In theory, you could give your neighbors access to the network. This way they will also receive alerts and can make sure everything is fine. That said, we recommend entrusting this responsibility to security professionals - Ajax works with Central Monitoring Stations around the world.

How much does it cost to use Ajax each month?

Ajax is free when you use it yourself for self-monitoring. You will only have to pay a monthly fee if you connect to the monitoring station. The cost will depend on where you are located, the size, the type of premises and the number of services requested.
